Fox News host Laura Ingraham released a lame apology after mocking Parkland shooting survivor David Hogg over his college rejections.
She offered the mea culpa, she wrote, “in the spirit of Holy Week” — but the sentiment is wholly weak, and all about the Almighty dollar.
So far four companies — Nutrish, TripAdvisor, Expedia and Wayfair — have heeded 17-year-old Hogg’s call to boycott “The Ingraham Angle.”
To staunch the flow of green, Ingraham walked back the taunting tweet she lobbed at the kid who’s still recovering from the massacre at his school.
Sorry, it turns out, seems to be the easiest word when big bucks are at stake.
Heaven knows, Ingraham didn’t seem contrite from blowback in February after saying that basketball star LeBron James is ill-equipped to express his politcal opinions and should, she noted, “shut up and dribble.”
Because he’s an athlete? Black? Either way, maybe Laura Ingraham should shut up.
Good luck with that. She’s made a career out of running her mouth, as Media Matters for America has compiled.
Like when she said that Mexican immigrants “have come here to murder and rape our people.”
