Janet Jackson “Shocking Slimdown” NOT From Plastic Surgery, Despite Speculative Report

Janet Jackson Plastic Surgery

It’s almost a year since Janet Jackson gave birth, but according to a tabloid report, it’s surprising that she’s back to her pre-baby size. In fact, this story alleges the singer’s “shocking slimdown” is secretly due to plastic surgery. Gossip Cop can help set the record straight.

OK! contends that when Jackson recently returned to touring, “there was a collective gasp about the massive amount of weight, more than 70 pounds, the 51-year-old star has lost since giving birth to son Eissa in January.” As if it’s impossible for the singer’s weight loss to have happened naturally following the pregnancy, the tabloid asserts she “looks incredibly trim just 10 months later, a rare feat at age 51.” In other words, the gossip magazine believes Jackson couldn’t have possibly lost the weight on her own in “just 10 months,” particularly due to her age.

And so, the outlet speculates “she’s had a little surgical help.” A so-called “insider” is quoted as saying, “Everyone’s buzzing that Janet had a ‘mommy makeover,'” referring to a “possible tummy tuck and liposuction.” A plastic surgeon who has never treated or met Jackson but is solely judging her appearance based on photographs tells the publication that such procedures “are common for celebrities after giving birth.”

Of course, that doesn’t mean Jackson went under the knife, and “buzz” certainly isn’t evidence that she did. What’s most upsetting is that the music icon can’t win and is shamed no matter no what. Back in February, a mere month after she gave birth, RadarOnline wondered if Jackson was “doomed to be fat forever” because her “pregnancy weight was still visible as she emerged from her London home on one of her first outings since giving birth to her baby son.” The site droned on how abut Jackson “looked like she hadn’t lost a single ounce” in the roughly four weeks since she delivered, and asked readers what they thought of her “bulky look.”

And now that Jackson HAS lost the weight, the webloid’s sister publication is suspicious over how fast it supposedly happened, as if 10 months is a short amount of time. In truth, it’s not, especially for a breastfeeding mother who was slim before and now recommitted to diet and exercising postpartum. It’s for those very reasonable reasons that a source close to the Grammy winner denied this plastic surgery tale. Gossip Cop would be remiss not to alo mention that OK! is the same tabloid that actually suggested last year that Jackson was faking her pregnancy to cover up for a “cancerous tumor.” The story was disgustingly wrong and tells you all you need to know about how knowledgeable, or not, as the case may be, the magazine is when it comes to the performer.
