Kim Kardashian West’s Followers Roast Her
As the fifth most followed person on Instagram, Kim Kardashian West is no stranger to negativity or intense criticism. A person doesn’t manage to rack up 153 million followers without their fair share of hate as well. While hate isn’t uncommon for Kardashian West, it’s rare that her fans and her critics are in agreement about something that she has said or done. However, the KKW Fragrance owner recently racked up some criticism for a picture that she posted to the popular platform.
Kim Kardashian West poses with one of her kids
On December 9, 2019, Kardashian West took to her Instagram page to share a photo from her recent trip to Tokyo, Japan. In the picture, the 39-year-old is holding her youngest daughter, Chicago West, and posing in front of a small building. The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star is wearing a large brown coat, silver pants that bear a resemblance to tinfoil and Yeezys on her feet. Yeezy’s are a brand of footwear designed by Kardashian West’s husband, Kanye West. “Chicago in Tokyo,” the mogul captioned the photo.
The Instagram photo is gaining attention
Though the photo was pretty mundane, especially for Kardashian West, it still managed to spark no small amount of talk. It quickly garnered more than 3.3 million likes, which is normal for Kardashian West. However, the photo also racked up a whopping amount of comments, with over 20,000 Instagram users chiming in on the photo. While a lot of the comments addressed how cute the reality TV star‘s daughter is, many of them were people who were roasting Kardashian West for her choice in outfits.
“That’s got to be the worst put together outfit I have ever seen,” one person wrote adamantly. “This outfit is trash. So much for having lots of money,” another Instagram user wrote candidly. “Honestly this whole outfit is wack and you’re wack for letting your husband dictate the ridiculous outfits he has you wearin [sic] have a mind of your own for gods [sic] sake,” another person added, bringing Kardashian West’s husband into the conversation.
Fans make fun of the Yeezys
Though many people hated the outfit, what they really took offense to were the shoes that the multimillionaire donned. “She’s about to take off with these spaceships on her feet ” one person stated humorously “I really don’t like them….like what are those,” another Instagram user wrote back in response. ” “Hyundai Elantras on her feet ,” a fan commented. “Look she’s got two irons on her feet,” someone else joked.
Kardashian West says husband, Kanye West, gives her freedom
Kardashian West has admitted that her style has changed in recent times. However, she confessed that it was only partly due to her husband’s desires. “I don’t know if it’s the fact that my husband has voiced that sometimes too sexy is just overkill and he’s not comfortable with that. I listen to him and understand him,” the KKW Beauty founder began.
“Still, at the end of the day, he always gives me the freedom to be and do what I want But I have kind of had this awakening myself. I realized I could not even scroll through Instagram in front of my kids without full nudity coming up on my feed pretty much all the time,” the 39-year old confessed in a recent interview with The Cut. Roasted or not, Kardashian West is still making millions and achieving success. We’re sure she’ll continue to support her husband’s brand, no matter how hideous her fans find the shoes to be.
Kim Kardashian Is Suing the Vampire Facials Inventor
The saga of Kim Kardashian West’s infamous “vampire facial” lives on — as she is now suing an Alabama-based doctor who she claims has been promoting the procedure using her name and likeness.
For those playing catch-up, here’s the backstory: In 2013, Kim got a “vampire facial” on an episode of Kourtney & Kim Take Miami. Afterward, Kardashian West posted a blood-covered selfie to her Instagram account. Five years later, in 2018, Kim shared in a blog post on her website (now deleted) in which she said she regretted getting the facial and wouldn’t try doing it again. It is worth noting that when she received the facial she was pregnant, which meant that she had to forego painkillers and numbing cream — making for what she described in 2018 as “a super uncomfortable experience.”
Fast-forward to today, and Kardashian West is suing an Alabama-based doctor for using her name and likeness to promote the “vampire facial” procedure without having her permission to do so. Per a complaint filed by her attorneys on Monday, December 9, under the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California, Kardashian West is suing Charles Runels and the Cellular Medicine Association for copyright infringement, infringement of registered mark, false association, violation of the right of publicity, and California common law trademark infringement. Runels was not the doctor who performed Kardashian West’s facial, however, he claims to own the trademark for “Vampire Facial.”
According to the complaint, viewed by Allure, Runels markets himself as the “Orgasm Doctor,” referencing another PRP procedure, and “most of his time is spent touting the various cosmetic procedures he has purported to trademark — including, as relevant here, the Vampire Facial (as well as the Orgasm Shot, the Vampire Facelift, and the Vampire Breast Lift).” The complaint also goes on to state that “…as of December 2017 he was charging ‘over 650 medical providers’ about $190,000 per month from licensing fees for approximately 2000 ‘licenses.'”
The filed complaint includes screenshots of Runels’ promotional pamphlets and website, which feature Kim’s name and image. A screenshot of Runels’ LinkedIn profile is also included in the complaint, in which his background is a photo mash-up of Kardashian West and model Bar Refaeli (who also previously posted an Instagram of herself in 2013 having a “vampire facial”).
“While ‘the Kardashians’ — or, more accurately, Ms. Kardashian and her sister Kourtney — did ‘get’ a Vampire Facial, it was seven years ago. And they had certainly never licensed their name in connection with the procedure,” the complaint reads. “Upon further investigation, Ms. Kardashian was horrified to discover that her name and likeness were plastered all over Runels’ website
The complaint goes on to state that the reality star herself reached out to Runels before taking this legal action and implored him to quit using her name and likeness. “When Ms. Kardashian reached out to Runels and his trademark attorney to demand that he cease using her name and likeness without her consent, he not only refused to take down the pictures of her and references to her; he had the temerity to demand that she pay him,” the complaint reads.
The complaint also states that “Ms. Kardashian’s actual endorsement for a nationwide campaign such as this would command a fee well into eight figures (assuming she would even agree to do such a campaign, which she most assuredly would not).” But this isn’t about money, it goes on to say. “Setting aside the monetary value, however, it is Ms. Kardashian’s choice whether or not to commercially endorse another party’s goods and services,” it reads.
Although Kardashian West has yet to make a public statement about the filing, attorney Michael J. Kump from her legal team told Allure in an email that, “at this time, we’re going to let the Complaint ‘speak for itself,’ and there is no further comment.”
Runels has addressed the lawsuit on his website, and he also sent us the following statement: “Ms Kardashian-West, among other things, publicly did a procedure using the name that I own, ‘Vampire Facial (R).’ She then did her usual and very brilliant strategies to make sure that her activities went viral. She was not trying to hide the fact she had the procedure, she advertised it. I did not ask her to either have the procedure done or to advertise it.”
In his statement to Allure, Runels also claims that he has since removed all of the cited photographs. His statement concludes: “I hope we can make peace and that she will forgive the offense. I never thought that her public display of having the procedure would later cause her grief. I’ve already taken down all mentions.”

Kim Kardashian’s 2019 Christmas Card Is Her Most Low-Key Yet
Kim Kardashian and Kanye West revealed their 2019 Christmas card on Friday, December 13, and it’s the family’s most understated yet. Instead of a group pic with their extended fam, Kardashian and West opted to keep things intimate this time around, posing with only their children, North, Saint, Chicago, and Psalm. The family dressed down in matching gray sweats, with Kanye breaking up the color palette in a crisp white sweater. It’s cozy, simple, and incredibly sweet.
“The West Family Christmas Card 2019,” Kardashian West captioned the photo, which you can see for yourself, below:
This pic is a far cry from the Kardashian family Christmas cards of years past, which have always been massive productions. Need we remind you of last year’s, which almost didn’t come together due to the family’s hectic schedules?
People Are Mommy-Shaming Kim Kardashian Because of North’s Earrings Now
When you’re as famous as Kim Kardashian West and living your life as publicly as she and the rest of the Kardashian-Jenner clan do, some controversies are to be expected. Of course, some of them the family brings on themselves. (See cornrows. But others seem to be a totally avoidable product of the quick-to-react outrage culture that’s basically just daily life on social media.
A certain segment of people is very invested in all the wrong ways celebrities are raising their kids, which they mostly judge based on a photo posted on social media. Kardashian West, her sister Khloé, and their pal Chrissy Teigen have all been known to shut down mommy-shaming trolls in the past—which is great, because moms have enough to deal with, celebrity or not.
The latest Kim K “drama” comes after the star posted a sweet picture with her 6-year-old daughter, North, where they were pinky-swearing to be be “besties for life.” Adorable, right? Not to some followers and commenters who didn’t like that North was wearing giant hoop earrings in the photo.
Almost immediately the judgy comments started flowing in. “Cute but those giant hoops for a little girl ?? She’s not even 11 yet 🤷🏻♀️,” one person wrote. “Ok I never say anything bad regarding anyone’s kids, but, North has no business wearing hoops that big at what, 6? They’re gonna pull on her little holes,” another commented. “Why is she wearing hoop earrings??? She doesn’t look like a little girl,” yet another commenter wrote.
Others jumped to Kardashian’s defense. “Kim isn’t wearing earrings, so I assume she took hers off to let North wear them for fun. She (North) probably asked. Her ear will be fine bc she probably didn’t have them on long,” one commented. “Y’all do realize she’s North’s mom and if she allows her to wear hoops oh damn well! Y’all be acting like y’all perfect parents!” another said.
“Here come all the ‘perfect moms’ trying to shame the next 🙄🙄🙄,” one person astutely pointed out.
Plus, as Cosmo pointed out, it seems these are Khloé’s earrings, and North is just playing dress-up for a moment with some fun, big, shiny jewelry of her auntie’s. Ultimately, though, it’s probably a good idea to leave parenting North up to her parents and her parents alone.
