Steve Harvey invited his wife of nine years, Marjorie Bridges, for a week-long stint on his hit talk show. She thought she was there honoring mothers around the world on mothers days.
Little did she know she was actually in for a huge surprise! Steve Harvey had actually prepared an extremely moving and emotional on-air tribute he wrote and prepared just for her! How cute!
Why can’t every man be as sweet as him?
As the cameras were rolling, Steve broke down whilst he addressed his beloved wife in front of the audience.
“From the moment I saw you, when you walked into that comedy club that night, and the first thing I said to you ever was ‘I don’t know who you are, lady. But I’m gonna marry you one day.’”
You can tell how sincere this little speech is, the first time I saw it I welled up. It is very clear to everyone watching that his wife and children mean the world to him.
Majorie helped her son become an A grade student, she inspired Steve to listen to music again and helped him come to terms with his fame. We often see Steve being hilarious and sometimes off-the-cuff, but it’s nice to see a softer side to his personality.
