Why People Hate Taylor Swift？
When it comes to pop star Taylor Swift, people either love her or hate her. People who feel the latter tend to use Swift’s personal life as the reason for their dislike. Gossip Cop was surprised to see just how many negative stories are printed in the tabloids about the “Look What You Made Me Do” singer, so we investigated to see why there’s so much animosity towards her.
One of the biggest factors that Swift’s detractors use against the singer are her various relationships over the years. Every romance Swift has had since her rise to fame has been meticulously documented by not only fans, but by the tabloids and in Swifts’ own discography as well. Many of the singer’s most famous exes make a reappearance in her life via her music.
Queen Of Break Up Songs
Joe Jonas, who allegedly broke up with Swift via a 27-second phone call, was famously immortalized in Swift’s songs “The Last Kiss,” “Forever and Always,” “Better Than Revenge,” and “Holy Ground.” Though he was one of Swift’s first famous exes, Jonas wasn’t the only one that made it into an album. Another singer, former One Direction member Harry Styles, was also written about by Swift in the song, “Style.”
Even when she wasn’t singing about her former flames, Swift caught a lot of flak for her “many” romances. Swift has either dated or been linked to Calvin Harris, Jake Gyllenhaal, Conor Kennedy, Taylor Lautner, Tom Hiddleston, and John Mayer, among others. Some claim that Swift’s dating history proves that she either is bad at love and drives potential partners away, or that she uses the men she dates as inspiration for her music and nothing more. Neither opinion is very flattering.
People also note that the “Bad Blood” singer tends to have bad blood with other people in the entertainment industry. Case in point, Taylor Swift’s very public falling out with Katy Perry. The two songstresses allegedly fought because a pair of backup dancers quit working for Swift to join Perry’s tour. From that point on, the former friends turned worst enemies, especially after Swift released “Bad Blood,” which is widely believed to be about her frenemy Perry. Though the two ladies eventually put the past behind them and made up, the years-long feud still left a bad impression on quite a few people.
Taylor Swift, Joe Alwyn Secretly Married With Baby On The Way?
Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn are not secretly married with a baby on the way, despite a false tabloid report. Gossip Cop can confirm that the couple hasn’t tied the knot and the singer isn’t pregnant. The story is complete fiction.
The couple was spotted taking a stroll in Paris last week, but according to NW, their visit to the European city was more than just a romantic getaway. “The talk is that they may well have married in the States at a quiet little chapel in New York, before jetting off to Paris and celebrating with a few close personal friends,” a supposed source tells the magazine. “Tay is so private and low-key, and one of the most romantic people you will ever meet, so it figures they’d hold their reception in the most romantic city on earth!”
The alleged insider further contends Swift is keeping everything a secret for the time being, but she’ll “have a bigger bash in America once everything’s out in the open.” The questionable tipster adds, “Their closest friends and family know their plans and are urging them to share what’s fast becoming Hollywood’s worst kept secret.” From there, the so-called “source” says the singer is also expecting, but doesn’t seem to know how far along she is in the supposed pregnancy.
The first problem with the tabloid’s phony story is that there’s no record of Swift and Alwyn getting a marriage license in New York. Gossip Cop checked in with the City Clerk’s Office and there’s no marriage license on file for the pair. We also reached out to a source close to the couple, who wasn’t able to speak on the record, but assures us they’re not secretly married and aren’t expecting a child.
Additionally, NW has already proven to have little insight into the couple’s relationship. Back in March 2018, Gossip Cop busted the tabloid for wrongly reporting that Swift and Alwyn were secretly engaged. The actor still hasn’t proposed to the singer at this time. Shortly after that, we called out the magazine for making up a story about Swift moving to London to be closer to Alwyn. The singer hasn’t relocated overseas.
It should also be noted, Gossip Cop busted the unreliable outlet in 2017 for falsely claiming Swift was getting back together with Harry Styles. Shortly after we debunked the report, the singer started dating Alwyn. It’s fairly clear at this point that the publication doesn’t know anything about Swift’s personal life.
What Happened To Taylor Swift And Joe Alwyn’s Wedding?
What happened to Taylor Swift‘s upcoming wedding to Joe Alwyn and all planning they were supposedly doing? Exactly one year ago, Gossip Cop debunked a bogus report claiming Swift and Alwyn were secretly engaged. Time has proven our reporting correct.
On October 17, 2018, Life & Style splashed a big headline across its cover: “Taylor Secretly Engaged!” The article said Alwyn had proposed to Swift but, of course, failed to provide any details about where or how. Instead, the outlet quoted a so-called “source” as saying, “He’s the kind of guy who would’ve gone old-school and asked her parents first, then gotten down on one knee to propose.” The article went on to describe – with great drama, but absolutely no detail – how the two were already well underway in planning a wedding that Swift hoped would be her “own version of Meghan Markle’s royal wedding.”
The publication failed to say exactly what about the royal wedding the singer wanted to emulate, but the article was filled with the most generic “wedding plans” the uninspired tabloid could come up. This included Swift wearing a white dress, getting married in a church and wanting to “feel like a princess.” The article’s dubious, unnamed source piled on the nonsense by claiming, “Taylor and Joe would both want to start the baby planning on their romantic honeymoon.” As Gossip Cop said at the time, the flimsy details and silly conjecture read more like fan fiction than anything resembling journalism. We also checked with our own source close to Swift, who assured us tabloid’s article was false.
Now, a year later, we’ve learned a lot more. Swift’s Reputation Stadium Tour ended more than a month after last year’s report, and the singer went straight into recording her latest album, Lover, which was released earlier this summer. That doesn’t leave a lot of time for secret proposals or wedding planning on the level of a royal wedding. Oh – and of course, there still has been no engagement announcement, nor has Swift been spotted wearing an engagement ring. The tabloid’s story was completely fabricated.
Life & Style then either forgot (or ignored) its own phony report, as just last month it ran yet another untrue article claiming Swift was pushing Alwyn to propose through her new song lyrics. It seems he wouldn’t need to be pushed to propose if they were already secretly engaged, as the earlier story alleged. The truth is that both article were completely wrong. Gossip Cop will continue to bust fiction about the couple’s relationship.
